There is no denying that time moves on. Spring is in full swing!
Here is the beautiful proof of that. Meet little big brother:
We are enjoying the little nest that was made in our fence vines. We are so proud of mommy bird too. She is doing such a fabulous job with her new ones.
Here's the hungry family. Looks like three of five made it. Does anyone know what happens to the egg shells? They're not below the nest. Does mom fly them off for some reason?

I think the worst is behind us and Spring is here to stay...although we are having the traditional April showers right now! :) Nice pic... Keep warm!
ReplyDeleteit is awesome and rare to see that kind of nature in action. It's like a discovery channel documentary in your backyard! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Robin's do keep a very clean nest and yes, the mother carries everything off and away from the nest. What a treat to find such a great nest. Found you through Carrie's.
ReplyDeleteWow!!!! How were you able to catch such great shots?! AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are so lucky that the nest was built in the low vines on the four foot fence we have in the backyard. We can easily peer in when mom is away. I squeezed my camera in and zoomed in for the shot! All the hatching happened in one day, one egg at a time. The progression of the shots was just me checking the nest every 4 hours. Glad you like them as much as I do.
